Great omakase experience. Chef clearly knows what he's doing both in source great ingredients and preparing them into classic nigiri and maki. Everthing we ate was great, service impeccable and polite. Chef speaks Japanese, English and German. I'll definitely be back.

It's a little bit hard to get a reservation, but it's so worth it! The most delicious Sushi in Berlin, which comes very close to the Sushi I had in Japan. Excited to visit Otsuka again!

We were so lucky to get a reservation for two people just two days in advance, as it can often be quite difficult to book here. I’m familiar with the omakase concept, and this place is truly one of the best choices. Daisuke ( I hope I guess his name correctly), the chef and owner, runs everything himself and carefully maintains the quality. The food was outstanding—amazingly fresh, with wasabi and soy sauce that were light and balanced, allowing the natural flavor of the fish to shine. We were served several nigiri, maki, miso soup, tamagoyaki (a Japanese egg roll dessert), and matcha ice cream. I would especially recommend this restaurant to sushi lovers who are looking for authentic Japanese cuisine, rather than those simply seeking a large sushi meal. I will definitely come back if I visit Berlin again!

The Sushi Master has definitely golden hands! We were exceptionally well served. Amazing experience

A true hidden gem in Berlin for authentic Japanese omakase lovers. With only about 8 counter seats, OTSUKA feels more like an intimate gathering than a restaurant. It’s notoriously hard to book—you’ll need to DM via Instagram in advance—but absolutely worth the effort. The chef was focused and diligent, preparing each nigiri with precision and care. You can tell many of the diners were regulars, which says a lot. The whole omakase experience lasted 1.5–2 hours, and everything—from the pacing to the fish selection—was perfectly executed. We enjoyed it so much that we booked again on the spot with the chef after the meal. A must-visit for a truly refined and memorable sushi night in Berlin.

Tried to secure a res for a long long time, then was finally able to. Great experience! Top sushi omakase, very nice and calming atmosphere. Definitely among the top experiences you can have in Berlin when it comes to eating sushi. Great price/ value imho. Pro tip: Make sure to reserve your next visit when you are there.

Loved my experience here… even though it’s difficult to get a reservation here. Now i’ve understood why the waiting time is very long. Friendly chef, cozy place and the tasting menu is absolutely delicious & worth it. Would love to come back another time in another season.

I have been trying to get a spot for a couple weeks and finally managed to reserve. I suggest that one should check here and there. I have seen slots for usually 1 pm and once 7 pm. It’s a very small place which accepts only 6 people at a time. There are no waiters. Everyone sits around the sushi bar and the chef serve everything per person/group as he prepares it. It lasted around 1.30 hours. We got different nigiris, a few sushi rolls and as desert sweet omelette and sorbet. The sushi was amazing and I would say it’s an experience rather than eating to get full. They don’t have any alcohol and water/tea will be served and the chef always renewed our teas. The price per person was 60 EUR everything included.
